Why Babel?
I see the tower off in the distance, but overall the forefront beige reminds me of a boat..."the ark". The redish background...a field of pain, blood, life & the stairway going up to Heaven...an escape route,wishful thinking.
AH now I get it...we thought we were so great we could build our own stairway to Heaven...

Very provocative painting! I love the replies it has received. I loved it for the deep rich colours initially and now I love it for the fact that every one took your title and ran within so... religiously. :laughing: (But I do feel sorry for Judas- he gets blamed for everything. (must be the Jew in me :roll: ))
